And we interrupt our usual programming...

Hi Blog Friends!

As you know, this blog is usually about our kiddos. But I wanted to share with you something I think is really special [and if I post about it, I get entered into a contest! :)]

One of my dear college friends, Amie, is a partner in a new business called Wild Olive Tees. I think it is a really cool adventure. Check out their stuff!

Sweet Jordan

We liked this picture of our sweet "big girl." She's such a good big sister and smart little kid. She decided a few weeks ago that she knew how to read and has been reading anything & everything she sees words on ever since. We are so proud of her!

Davis' 4 Month Update

Davis was 4 months old yesterday. I want to share (and be able to remember) what he's like right now. I know he's changing so fast and I want to be able to hold onto these early days...

Personality wise, he's a happy and sweet guy. He's very social and has started to jabber at people a lot. He'll stare at someone until he gets their attention. He still wants to be held most of the time, but has improved on his tolerance of being on the floor. He likes to play on the activity gym and grab the hanging toys and roll around. He has gotten pretty good at sucking on his hands. Whenever Stella catches him, though, she grabs his hands and says, "No, Davis! Yucky!" Pretty funny. He's tolerating tummy time better as well, and can roll from his belly to back when he wants too. He's started to hold on to a small toy and bring it to his mouth. When given a bottle, he'll eat 4-5 oz. at a time. He still likes to sleep in our bed and he has us pretty well trained to let him. I weighed him this morning & he was 15 lbs! He's wearing 3-6 month clothes still, but seems to be almost too long for them. Maybe he'll be tall like Daddy? He's made several of the ChildWatch workers at the Y fall in love with him. He has a way with the ladies... ;)

The girls continue to adore him and love to help with his needs. We feel really grateful that they have both made such a good transition. He's a wonderful blessing and perfect addition to our family.

Way Behind

Sorry, everybody. On the "to-do" list, blogging has been pushed way back. I got a friendly text from Gramms the other night giving me a nudge, though. So, here's me playing catch up!

The girls were having too much fun with their broccoli at dinner.

We did a family craft night. Jamie & Jordan worked on a sock puppet. Stella & I were having fun cutting & gluing.

Stella's get up: Diaper, Baby Legs, Easter gloves, Jordan's rain boots. Nice!
Davis had his first Bumbo seat experience. He thought it was kinda cool.

Here's how we found Jordan asleep the other night: sitting up in bed, holding a balloon.

Nice Weekend

We had a lovely weekend. We all enjoyed playing outside for a few days before it started raining again...

3 Months

Davis was 3 months old last Thursday. Time is flying! So here's what you should know... he's a happy little guy. He loves to smile at others and himself in the mirror. He's starting to coo which is so cute. He's beginning to self-soothe by sucking his fists--he's not a big fan of the binkie like his sisters were. He'll now reach out for toys to bat at. He's sleeping a bit longer at night and occasionally in his own bed, making mommy happy. He's eating great and is almost 14 lbs. He especially loves when his sisters sing to him or talk with him. We love him so much!

Holiday Artwork

I've had this hanging on my fridge for the past few weeks. It's Jordan's art work from preschool on Ash Wednesday & I just thought it was too funny to get tossed with most of her other coloring sheets. First of all, I think it is funny that the preschool was doing an Ash Wednesday theme (Lent seems a bit over the 4 year olds' heads, if you ask me). Second, the picture...the way that Jordan colored it is really amusing. Check out this poor girl's eyes...does she need an exorcism or what?! It makes me laugh every time I look at it.

Class Picture

A few weeks back, it was "Picture Week" at Preschool. A few days later, I found Jordan playing "class picture" with all her animals. :)

Grams' Visit & Crissy's Photos

My mom has been here this last week for a visit. We've all had a lot of fun & she's been a big help! Our friend, Crissy, is a photographer. She graciously did a fun shoot for us the other afternoon. I love how these photos turned out and captured our fun with Grams. Thanks, Crissy!

Davis' 2 month update

So, this post is nearly 2 weeks late, but I'm trying! :) On March 2nd, Davis was 2 months old. Here's what he looked like then. He's started smiling and really looking at you. He is also a good eater. He likes to sleep in his swing a lot. He HATES tummy time (sorry, Grandma!) At his 2 month doctor appointment, he was 23" (50th percentile), 12 lbs. 1 oz. (75th percentile), and his head circumference was 39.5 cm (50th percentile). As far as his personality goes, so far he is really pretty laid back, unless he is wanting to be held or fed...which happens a lot. His sisters love him so much and he tolerates all their attention well. Daddy & I think he is a wonderful gift to us!
