Silly Dancers

The girls wanted to play ballerinas and dance for us. They were a hoot!
(What Stella keeps saying in the beginning is "I'm a ballerina!")

Stella's 2 year update

On June 7th, Stella turned two. It was really hard to believe...our baby girl was two! You saw the party and the cake--she had a blast. But here I will tell you about what she is like now. She is an active little girl who loves to run and climb and has no fear. She especially loves to try to keep up with her big sister. So no slide is too high, no obstacle too difficult. She has a great personality. She's really funny, but kind of serious, too. She is really nurturing and *loves* taking care of her baby brother. We think she has a tender heart. She loves to make people laugh. She loves to dance. And she talks constantly. She's using several words together into sentences and it seems like she says something that blows us away on a daily basis. She loves to do things independently and tells us she did it "allbymyself!" She loves Elmo and all kinds of animals. She can totally spy a bird or an animal outside long before anyone else. She's really keen to nature. Shoes are some of her favorite things in the world. She loves to put on and take off her shoes, your shoes, talk about shoes. Shoes, shoes, shoes. She enjoyed her first year of preschool a lot and has made some sweet friends there. Her favorite thing at school is art and she loves to color and to glue. Seriously, one of her most prized possessions is a glue stick. Her favorite song to sing is Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star (which I think is cute since Stella means star) and she's quite a little performer. Stella is a cool kid.

At her 2 year appointment, she got her shots. It was so sad because she knew for the first time what was coming. As soon as she saw the nurse, she started shaking all over and crying, before she even got the shot. So sad. But then she got an Elmo sticker and all was right in the world. :) She was 31 lbs. 6 oz. (90th percentile) and 33 7/8 inches tall (50th percentile). She's wearing 3 and 4 T clothes, cause she's a big sweet girl! And everyone says that she looks just like her Daddy. What do you think?

Davis' 6 month update

We've really loved having Davis around for the last 6 months. He's a great kid. The thing that people comment on most about him is that he is so smiley. "Does he always smile like that?" I get asked often. Yes, he smiles almost all the time. He loves to look at people and he loves to be held. He likes to be talked to, he loves for you to scare him (in a nice way) and has recently started to roar at others. Hilarious. He can roll both ways now and is beginning to prop sit a little. He can hold his own bottle and he eats rice cereal well. He likes to grab at his spoon and put it in his mouth. Davis loves to watch his sisters and Jordan jumps for him to make him laugh. It is so sweet. He enjoys looking at his reflection in a mirror and chewing on almost anything. He has his two bottom teeth already! He definitely knows his name and will look when you say "Davis." He makes lots of vocalizations and noises. He loves to watch the dogs. He's sleeping for longer stretches at night now, and even sleeps in his own bed occasionally. To tell the truth, I don't really mind, because I know how fast this phase goes. :) He'll be a big boy soon enough, so I really try to cherish my little baby.
