9 month check up

Today was Jordan's 9 month check-up. Dr. Ryan said that she is right on track. Here are the stats: weight-20 lbs. 9 oz. (75th percentile); length-28 in. (65th percentile); head-45 1/2 cm (85th percentile). Ok, she has a big head, but we can only hope that means a lot of smarts! :)

She survived the last of her HepB Vaccinations today and was tested for lead. We get those results in a few weeks. The doc also said she is getting some new teeth...but Jordan won't let you see them!

Jordan is 9 months old!

Yesterday, Jordan passed that baby milestone of having lived outside the womb longer than inside. She celebrated by eating some "puffers" for breakfast in her jammies - as you can see. She is pulling up on everything (from chairs to pantlegs) and likes to stand as much as possible. Of course she hasn't learned how to get down from standing yet, so we have to pay close attention - which may be part of her plan :)

New blog

Jamie & I have recently entered the blogosphere. And so...I introduce the Life of the Lily Bean. (Lily Bean is one of our favorite nicknames for Jordan.) Here you will find occasssional posts with pictures about what Jordan is up to or our thoughts about her. Please feel free to comment on our posts!

We spent last week with Jamie's family in Michigan. Good fun. During the vacation, Jordan learned to pull to stand, say "da-deee" (not yet meaning Jamie), and crawled for 6 steps. We are so proud of her! She was proclaimed as a sweet & easy baby by the family & enjoyed her time with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents!

Here is a picture of her in her crib after pulling herself up. She looks quite proud of herself!
