Nice Weekend

We had a lovely weekend. We all enjoyed playing outside for a few days before it started raining again...

3 Months

Davis was 3 months old last Thursday. Time is flying! So here's what you should know... he's a happy little guy. He loves to smile at others and himself in the mirror. He's starting to coo which is so cute. He's beginning to self-soothe by sucking his fists--he's not a big fan of the binkie like his sisters were. He'll now reach out for toys to bat at. He's sleeping a bit longer at night and occasionally in his own bed, making mommy happy. He's eating great and is almost 14 lbs. He especially loves when his sisters sing to him or talk with him. We love him so much!

Holiday Artwork

I've had this hanging on my fridge for the past few weeks. It's Jordan's art work from preschool on Ash Wednesday & I just thought it was too funny to get tossed with most of her other coloring sheets. First of all, I think it is funny that the preschool was doing an Ash Wednesday theme (Lent seems a bit over the 4 year olds' heads, if you ask me). Second, the picture...the way that Jordan colored it is really amusing. Check out this poor girl's eyes...does she need an exorcism or what?! It makes me laugh every time I look at it.

A few weeks back, it was "Picture Week" at Preschool. A few days later, I found Jordan playing "class picture" with all her animals. :)

Not that it was ever really in question...

but we're gonna keep him.

Grams' Visit & Crissy's Photos

My mom has been here this last week for a visit. We've all had a lot of fun & she's been a big help! Our friend, Crissy, is a photographer. She graciously did a fun shoot for us the other afternoon. I love how these photos turned out and captured our fun with Grams. Thanks, Crissy!

Davis' 2 month update

So, this post is nearly 2 weeks late, but I'm trying! :) On March 2nd, Davis was 2 months old. Here's what he looked like then. He's started smiling and really looking at you. He is also a good eater. He likes to sleep in his swing a lot. He HATES tummy time (sorry, Grandma!) At his 2 month doctor appointment, he was 23" (50th percentile), 12 lbs. 1 oz. (75th percentile), and his head circumference was 39.5 cm (50th percentile). As far as his personality goes, so far he is really pretty laid back, unless he is wanting to be held or fed...which happens a lot. His sisters love him so much and he tolerates all their attention well. Daddy & I think he is a wonderful gift to us!

NC Zoo

Yesterday, we went to the zoo with our beach gang. It was a lot of fun to be together again. The kids really enjoyed playing and being outside. It was a beautiful day, in the high 70's. We were even hot and laughed about how we'd all been snowed in last Monday!

Stella loved the monkeys, fish & the elephants. The way she says "elephant" kind of sounds like "pat-pat" but we know what she's talking about!

Snow Day 2

We had another snow in Charlotte last night, so we're all stuck at home for the day. Daddy took a break from working and took the kids outside for some fun.

Stella thinks the 2009 is a good vintage.
